$82,022- $92,032 per annum (pro rata) plus superannuation. This is a full time (36.75 hours per week) fixed-term role to 31/12/2020. · Support a wide range of students through their studies · Collaborative, innovative and supportive work environment · The position is located at our St Albans, Sunshine and Werribee campuses About the role As part of the Students Portfolio, your role as a Learning Hub Coordinator will see you leading a team of Learning Advisors working in the Learning Hub to deliver student support and advice across multiple areas of study and courses, from Vocational Education through to Undergraduate and Postgraduate study, with an emphasis on international as well as domestic students. You will be responsible for coordinating day to day Learning Hub operations, building and leading your team to deliver services assisting students in developing their literacy and future building skills and much more. This role will see you engage and collaborate with academic and professional staff across the university to identify co-curricular opportunities to help students build global skills crucial to study success. Working closely with your fellow Coordiantors, and the Manager Learning Hubs, you will coordinate the development and delivery of academic and skills-based support and guidance that is student-focused, efficient and sustainable via workshops and other services. The role requires confidence in using online systems, databases and programs, such as digital learning spaces, MS Office suite and student bookings systems. About the person Experience in a similar role is ideal, you will have established your credentials as a valued team member with exceptional communication and leadership skills. You will be a team oriented individual, with experience and interest in leading and motivating a team to meet organisational goals. You have a demonstrated ability to deliver programs and services to support students and are interested in putting these skills and innovation to use to provide contemporary and relevant student advice and guidance. Liaising with staff at all levels will come easily to you, having developed a good understanding of the critical importance that stakeholder management plays in enabling you to successfully carry out your role. Being a highly motivated individual, you will contribute your ideas in the improvement and development of current and future materials/resources and lead your team to do the same. An understanding of operational priorities and needs within a university context is highly regarded. Duties Managing a team of staff to deliver services and activities in the Learning Hub Identify and understand student learning needs and coordinate the formulation of activities and resources to meet this Lead and support your team to maintain writing and future-focused resources and reference guides that supplement the learning activities delivered by the Learning Hub Actively build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the university Refer students to additional services, workshops and drop-ins within and external to the Learning Hub. Work collaboratively with Learning Hub Coordinators, Student Mentor Coordinator and Manager, Learning Hubs in identifying and developing Essential Activities for students at different year levels. Access and update information on Learning Hub events on relevant University databases and learning management systems.
