Council’s Economic Development Unit works to deliver a program of business development initiatives that facilitate opportunities, attract and promote businesses, create employment, and enable existing businesses to grow and prosper.
Key activities undertaken by the Unit include:
- A program of business development and training
- Seminar and networking opportunities
- Business information and data
- Development facilitation
- General business information and advice
Brimbank is home to 12,276 businesses including many significant and established organisations like Aldi, ARC, Australia Post, Boral, Bunnings, Caterpillar, FedEx, Ferguson Plarre, Fisher and Paykel, Hunter Leisure, John Deere, Lombards, Schweppes, Schiavello and Sims Metal.
In more recent times companies such as IBM, Metronode, Digital Realty, Rand Group, Preshafruit, Sleepyhead and Vistaprint have also chosen to make Brimbank their business home.
